Welcome to the Kilimahewa Modern Secondary School News Club! Our club is comprised of a select group of students from each class who work together to collect news, design, and print a school-local newsletter called “Kilimahewa Post.” We are proud to share that our newsletter is published twice a month and is available to the public online.
Our mission is to provide a platform for students to develop their English, computer, and journalism skills while also informing and entertaining our school community. The Kilimahewa Post features a variety of content, including interviews with staff and students, upcoming school events, and interesting news stories from around the world.
Our team is made up of talented and dedicated individuals who are passionate about journalism and committed to producing high-quality content. We work collaboratively to brainstorm ideas, conduct interviews, write articles, and design the layout of each issue.
In addition to the Kilimahewa Post, we also produce special Newshour presentations, which are video-recorded and posted online for our school community to watch. These presentations allow us to showcase our journalism skills and share important news stories in an engaging and interactive way.
Being part of the Kilimahewa Modern Secondary School News Club is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in the field of journalism. We are proud to be part of a program that encourages students to learn and practice English and computer skills, as well as acquire journalism skills that can benefit them in their future endeavors.
Thank you for visiting our website and we hope you enjoy reading the Kilimahewa Post and watching our Newshour presentations. If you have any questions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
