“It is health that is the real wealth, and not pieces of gold and silver.”
Mahatma Gandhi
At Kilimahewa Modern Secondary School, we take the health and wellbeing of our students very seriously. We understand that a healthy student is a happy and successful student. That’s why we have put in place various measures to ensure that our students have access to quality healthcare services.
Our school matron is always available to attend to the health needs of our students. She ensures that all boarding students have a valid national health insurance (NHIF) card, which they can use to access medical care when necessary. In case of any emergency medical issues, our school has a subscription to an alarm response company that helps to quickly usher the student to the hospital, accompanied by the matron. We also notify parents immediately to ensure that the necessary care is taken.
We are fortunate to be located along the Moshi-Arusha highway and close to Moshi town, which provides us with easy access to several good small and large healthcare facilities. Our students can be assured of quick and efficient medical care whenever they need it.
To promote preventative healthcare, we invite health professionals to come and provide health seminars to our students. These seminars help our students stay healthier by providing them with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their health. We believe that prevention is better than cure and we strive to promote healthy living among our students.
At Kilimahewa Modern Secondary School, we are committed to providing our students with a safe and healthy environment that promotes academic and personal growth. We take pride in our healthcare services and are always looking for ways to improve them.
